- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tbsp milk or lemon juice for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Toss diced apples with some cinnamon and brown sugar; set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix flour and baking powder separately, then combine with wet mix, alternating with milk.
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, layer with apples and cinnamon sugar, then repeat.
- Swirl the layers with a knife to marble the apple and cinnamon mix.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack and drizzle with glaze once fully cooled.
