Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (flank or sirloin)
  • 10 oz noodles (ramen, yakisoba, or lo mein)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (for marinade)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil (for marinade)
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, peas)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Chopped green onions for garnish


Instructions

  1. Marinate sliced beef with soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch for 15 minutes.
  2. Cook noodles according to package, then rinse with cold water and set aside.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet or wok. Sear beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add vegetables to the pan and cook until tender. Add garlic and sauté briefly.
  5. Add noodles to the pan with a bit of oil and press slightly to crisp. Flip to crisp other side.
  6. Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and water. Pour over noodles.
  7. Return beef to pan and toss everything together until heated through.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve hot.
