Ingredients
- 14 oz udon noodles (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
- 1 tsp cornstarch (for beef)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil (for finishing)
- 2 green onions, sliced
- Sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook udon noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss beef slices with cornstarch.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and black pepper.
- Heat oil in skillet over medium-high heat. Sear beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add onions, bell peppers, and garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry until softened.
- Return beef and add cooked udon to the skillet. Pour in sauce and toss everything well.
- Drizzle sesame oil on top. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
