Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper lining.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, beating well, then stir in vanilla.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture alternately with milk until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in most of the blueberries.
  7. Pour batter into the pan, smooth the top, and add remaining blueberries on top.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then remove and dust with powdered sugar.
