Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan, let it cool slightly.
  2. Whisk in sugars, pumpkin puree, egg yolk, and vanilla.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients, fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Chill dough for 30+ minutes.
  6. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheet.
  7. Scoop dough onto sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  8. Cool on pan before transferring to wire rack.
