Ingredients

  • 12 oz cheese tortellini
  • 1 lb sirloin steak
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak cubes and sear for 2–3 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the cooked tortellini to the skillet and gently toss to coat with the garlic butter.
  6. Return the steak to the pan and stir to combine. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until everything is heated through.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Don’t overcook the tortellini it continues to cook slightly in the skillet.
  • Let steak rest before returning it to the pan to retain juices.
  • Add parmesan for extra flavor if desired.
  • Red pepper flakes add a nice heat if you like spice.
