Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain fat.
- Add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 5–10 minutes.
- Layer half of the chopped cabbage in baking dish.
- Spoon half of beef mixture on top. Repeat layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove foil, top with cheeses, and bake 10–15 minutes more.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
