Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water

- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg yolk (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Mix warm water, yeast, and 1 tsp sugar. Let sit until foamy.
- Add eggs, oil, remaining sugar, and salt. Mix well.
- Gradually stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8–10 minutes.
- Let dough rise in an oiled bowl, covered, for 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Divide and braid the dough. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
- Brush with egg yolk wash before baking.
- Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes or until golden and hollow sounding.
