Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 onion diced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a mix)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Sour cream for serving
- Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned. Add onion and garlic and cook until soft.
- Stir in taco seasoning with a splash of water. Simmer and set aside.
- Heat a clean skillet and lightly oil one side of a tortilla. Place it oil-side down.
- Layer with cheese, beef mixture, and more cheese. Top with another tortilla, oil-side up.
- Cook until bottom is golden, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and melted.
- Remove from pan, let rest briefly, then slice into wedges.
- Serve warm with sour cream and garnish with herbs.
Notes
- Use pre-shredded cheese for convenience but block cheese melts better.
- Add jalapeños or pico de gallo for extra flavor inside.
