Ingredients
- 12 oz fettuccine or linguine
- 14 oz smoked sausage sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain.
- Brown sliced sausage in a skillet with butter until golden. Set aside.
- Add more butter to the skillet and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes.
- Pour in cream and stir in Cajun seasoning. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
- Add Parmesan and stir until sauce thickens and is smooth.
- Return sausage to the skillet and add cooked pasta. Toss everything together.
- Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper. Add pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
