Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish


Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to boil. Cook pasta and add broccoli during the last 3 minutes. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add milk and bring to a simmer. Stir in parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Toss well, adding pasta water to loosen the sauce as needed.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
