Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat softened butter and powdered sugar until creamy and fluffy.
  3. Add egg yolks and vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in flour and salt until dough forms.
  5. Roll dough into small balls and place on baking sheet.
  6. Press each ball gently with a fork to flatten and create a pattern.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
