Description

Ingredients

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 lb deli ham, sliced
  • 12 slices Havarti cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon sesame or poppy seeds (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease or line a baking dish.
  2. Slice buns and layer ham and Havarti cheese on each bottom half.
  3. Place tops back on and press gently.
  4. Melt butter and mix with Dijon and garlic powder.
  5. Brush butter mixture over bun tops and sprinkle with seeds.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake 5–7 more minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool slightly and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before baking.
  • Add caramelized onions for more flavor.
  • Use Swiss or provolone as substitutes for Havarti.
  • Freeze baked sliders and reheat in oven as needed.
