Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground sausage
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease muffin tin.
- Brown sausage in skillet, drain excess fat, and let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
- Fold in sausage and shredded cheese.
- Divide batter into muffin tin, filling each 3/4 full.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
- Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
