Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground sausage
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease muffin tin.
  2. Brown sausage in skillet, drain excess fat, and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and melted butter.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
  6. Fold in sausage and shredded cheese.
  7. Divide batter into muffin tin, filling each 3/4 full.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
  9. Cool in tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
