Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast or thighs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar


Instructions

  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Whisk eggs in one bowl and mix flour and cornstarch in another.
  3. Dredge chicken in egg, then coat in flour mixture.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F in a skillet or deep pan.
  5. Fry chicken in batches 4–5 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Drain on a rack.
  6. In a saucepan melt butter, then add honey, hot sauce, and vinegar. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. Toss crispy chicken in hot honey sauce until fully coated.
  8. Serve immediately with chopped parsley or sliced chilies if desired.
