Description

This Korean ground beef bowl is one of the best quick dinner ideas! Easy, healthy, and packed with flavor, it’s perfect for busy weeknights. Sweet-savory beef over fluffy rice with veggies and a fried egg makes it a complete simple and delicious meal everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup carrots, julienned
  • 2 cups spinach
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, chopped


Instructions

  1. Cook rice and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
  3. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Simmer 3–5 minutes.
  4. In another pan, sauté carrots and spinach with sesame oil until tender.
  5. Fry eggs sunny-side-up until whites are set.
  6. Assemble bowls with rice, beef, veggies, and fried egg. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion.

  • Use ground turkey or tofu as an alternative protein.
