Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1–2 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl to make cinnamon sugar.
- Cut the puff pastry into bite-size squares.
- Brush each square with melted butter and coat in cinnamon sugar on both sides.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
- Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
- Keep the puff pastry cold until baking for extra puffiness.
- Add lemon zest to cinnamon sugar for a citrus twist.
- Serve with jam or cream cheese for extra flavor.
- Freeze unbaked coated puffs and bake from frozen with added time.
