Description

These mini French breakfast puffs are easy, quick, and delicious! A simple sweet pastry idea perfect for brunch, breakfast, or snacks. Light, flaky, and golden with cinnamon sugar, they’re one of the best simple treats to enjoy any morning!


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 12 tbsp powdered sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl to make cinnamon sugar.
  3. Cut the puff pastry into bite-size squares.
  4. Brush each square with melted butter and coat in cinnamon sugar on both sides.
  5. Place on the baking sheet and bake 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden.
  6. Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Keep the puff pastry cold until baking for extra puffiness.
  • Add lemon zest to cinnamon sugar for a citrus twist.
