Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, Parmesan, seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut mozzarella into small cubes.
  4. Take a portion of meat, flatten it, place mozzarella in the center, and form into a sealed ball.
  5. Place in greased baking dish and cover with marinara sauce.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until cooked through and cheese is melted.
  7. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes for golden tops.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
