I first made these Flourless Greek Yogurt Brownies on a rainy Sunday afternoon when I was craving something rich and chocolatey however I didn’t want the heaviness that usually comes with a classic brownie recipe so I peeked into my fridge and spotted a tub of Greek yogurt and I thought why not try something lighter and different. And I’m so glad I did because what came out of the oven was perfectly fudgy yet surprisingly guilt-free.

Since then whenever I need a quick dessert that feels indulgent but doesn’t completely wreck my health goals I reach for this flourless brownie recipe and I always get compliments even from those who aren’t watching what they eat and the best part is you only need a few wholesome ingredients and one bowl so there’s barely any cleanup. It’s truly become one of my go-to sweet treats.

Ingredients
Here’s what I use for this recipe. You can always make substitutions if you prefer!
- Cocoa powder – Gives the brownies that deep, rich chocolate flavor.
- Greek yogurt – Adds moisture and a creamy texture while keeping things light.
- Eggs – Help bind everything together and give structure to the brownies.
- Honey – Naturally sweetens the brownies without refined sugar.
- Baking soda – Adds a bit of lift so the brownies aren’t too dense.
- Vanilla extract – Enhances the chocolate flavor and adds a warm note.
- Salt – Balances out the sweetness and intensifies the cocoa.
Tools You’ll Need
- Mixing bowl – This is where I combine all the ingredients. One bowl is all you need!
- Whisk or spatula – I use this to mix everything until smooth and well-blended.
- Measuring cups & spoons – Accurate measurements are key for the right consistency.
- 8×8 inch baking pan – The perfect size for even baking and just the right thickness.
- Parchment paper – Helps me lift the brownies out easily without sticking.
- Oven – To bake the brownies to gooey perfection.

Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
I start by preheating the oven to 350°F and lining my baking pan with parchment paper so the brownies come out cleanly after baking.
Step 2: Mix the Wet Ingredients
In a mixing bowl I combine the Greek yogurt, eggs, honey, and vanilla extract. I whisk it until everything looks creamy and well mixed.
Step 3: Add the Dry Ingredients
Next I sift in the cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt right into the wet ingredients. I like to sift the cocoa to avoid lumps and make sure the batter is smooth.
Step 4: Stir Everything Together
I use a spatula to gently fold the ingredients until there are no streaks left. I don’t overmix because I want them to stay fudgy.
Step 5: Bake
I pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly. Then I bake it for about 20–25 minutes. I check with a toothpick—there should be a few moist crumbs but not raw batter.
Step 6: Cool and Slice
After taking them out of the oven I let the brownies cool completely in the pan. This step is important so they set properly. Then I lift them out using the parchment paper and cut into squares.

If you want to make them extra rich I sometimes stir in a handful of dark chocolate chips before baking. I’ve also tried adding a spoonful of espresso powder to intensify the chocolate flavor and it works beautifully. You can even make these dairy-free by using a plant-based yogurt!
Ways to Serve
I love serving these with a scoop of vanilla frozen yogurt or a dollop of whipped cream for dessert. They also make a great mid-afternoon snack with a cup of coffee or tea. And if you want to take them on the go just wrap them individually and you’re set!
